No, not Lynn-nore's belly ~ Kara! It seems that every day she's growing and thinking new thoughts. Reading, and moreover writing, is just around the next corner for her. She spends part of every day trying to write notes and letters to each of us, which requires the spelling of new words and the sounding out of others. In the midst of this, she has also decided she likes the idea of writing out the musical notes for her favorite songs, for instance Mozart's A Little Night Music. This is definitely a gift she gets from Thom's side of the family!
Easter weekend was no exception to Kara's growing thoughts and ideas. Part of this was evident in her desire to choose which of the pretty Easter dresses she had been given she would actually wear this weekend. Auntie Kara had sent her a beautiful linen sage green dress with elegant lace and and Omi and Aunt TT had sent her a beautiful pink dress with flowers and chiffon and a matching hat. So, while Mommy held up the two dresses, Kara bounced back and forth on her bed saying "I'm thinking. I'm thinking. I think the pink one!" So, with the decision finally made, it's pink this week and green next week!! Admittedly, she looked gorgeous in both of them, and either would have made a perfect Easter choice, but in her new status as "big girl" the decision almost seemed to be the most important part.
Meanwhile, Kara extends a BIG Thank You to both Auntie Kara and Omi & Aunt TT for thinking of her for Easter and sending such pretty dresses. And I also want to say a big thank you to Auntie Kara for sending a beautiful maternity outfit that worked great for Mommy for Easter, too!
