Unfounded Malaise

Occasionally you find your own life boring. It was interesting a moment ago, but then it became boring again. Such times are bad for blogs. The strange thing is, there is no real reason for this malaise. Just last week, my Mom and Grandmother were up and we had a wonderful visit with them. We walked on the beach, climbed on rocks, ate some good chowder, saw a few good movies, played games and passed Caleb around the whole time. Caleb certainly enjoyed all that back-rubbing, rump-patting and sweet-talking. He even figured out how to smile responsively and coo. Then, also, there is Kara's new Kindergarted experience. She was telling me all about it last night. She loves school! (and why shouldn't she?) She loves seeing her friends. She loves learning new things (she's taken to quizzing me about the planets recently.) Not only that, but she can somehow control herself at school in a manner of which we at home only dream. I wish I'd enjoyed the experience more myself, because now it sure does look fun! As for me, I was up till 1:30 setting up the online syllabus which comes with Kaplan's General GRE study guide. Combine this with a period of re-grouping and goal setting and there is just no reason for malaise. No reason at all.
