San Francisco Blend™, ah the aroma! You are the dark continent, the new world, sought among the choice offerings of my employer. Named for California, gold rush and the Golden Gate bridge, and yet a product of the New England Coffee Company. In you I glimpse these whole United States. You are the Manifest Destiny that overran the West. You are verdant New England, from which the dogged soul of America yet brews. Your heat stokes the fires of patriotism. Captain John Smith ground ye at Jamestown. And to you - oh patriotic drink! - the Sons of Liberty pledged their allegiance in Boston harbor. You warmed the humble camps at Gettysburg. Tired cowboys toasted you along their muddy drives. And it was you who went in tin and rucksack with the Yanks into the European and Pacific theatres of war. Product of our continent, embodied drink of our civilization, succor of our mighty universities. I drink to you, liquid friend of liberty, taste of democracy, and aroma of the free world!
